Teenagers are an active part of the regular life of our church family. We are committed to being a support system to our teenagers as they navigate life and grow in their faith. We have an active Youth Group for teens in grades 6-12, and our door is always open. Visitors, friends, and new members are always welcome to come and belong!
YOUTH GROUP
Our 6-12th grade group meets weekly, every Thursday night 7 to 8:30pm. The theme and activities vary with the time of year, but we always have some combination of hang out, games, worship, discussion, debate, bible study, snacks, and randomness. The best part of Thursday Youth Group is the chance to get connected and to be known by others, and this is a very welcoming group!
Retreats, Activities, and Lock-Ins
A few times a year we have the opportunity to spend extra time together, either here at the church or at overnight retreats hosted by our Presbytery. Past events have included camp-outs, pool parties, lake days, sporting events, geocaching, hotdog roasts, late-night Sardines games, and even a Harry Potter movie marathon lock-in.
Mission Outreach
We are always looking for opportunities to get involved and serve. On a large scale, we plan semi-annual Senior High mission trips and annually serve at Festival of Sharing. Locally, we have volunteered with organizations such as Ronald McDonald House and Harvesters. Here at home, our Youth are often involved alongside everyone else in the mission life of our church. In addition to planned mission work, we strive to spread hope into our world in all that we do.
